Empowering VET for Tomorrow's Market

TECH-BRIDGE VET is a 36-month Erasmus+ project (KA220-VET) that brings together vocational education and training (VET) providers, companies, and policy stakeholders to co-design a shared Tech Academy model for the mechanical sector.

About the Project

TECH-BRIDGE VET is a 3-year Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership (KA220-VET) that aims to strengthen collaboration between VET providers and SMEs in the mechanical sector through the development of a shared inter-company Tech Academy model.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between the skills taught in VET and those needed by companies, focusing on the most in-demand technical profiles such as CNC operators and maintenance technicians.

The project supports innovation, cooperation and capacity-building across Europe — connecting schools and enterprises through digital tools, research, and real collaboration.

Launched in January 2025, TECH-BRIDGE VET involves 6 partners from 5 countries and will run until December 2027.

Objectives

General Objective

To bridge the gap between the skills taught in VET systems and the competences required by companies, especially in highly technical profiles such as CNC operators and maintenance technicians.

Specific Objectives

The project’s activities will address the following:

Analyse existing challenges

in VET–industry collaboration in the mechanical sector

Identify and share good practices

across Europe

Co-design a Tech Academy model

that responds to both VET and company needs

Build a digital platform

to support training, cooperation, and innovation exchange

Engage stakeholders

through communication, dissemination and policy recommendations

Ensure long-term impact

and transferability of results beyond the project lifetime

Activities

To achieve its mission, TECH-BRIDGE VET develops a structured set of activities linked to clear and measurable objectives. Each activity contributes to designing and implementing a shared Tech Academy model that connects VET providers and companies in the mechanical sector.

1. Analyse challenges in school–company collaboration

→ Conduct surveys and desk research in each partner country to understand current obstacles and opportunities.

2. Identify and share good practices across Europe

→ Collect and compare successful experiences of VET–industry cooperation.

3. Co-design the TECH-BRIDGE Academy model

→ Engage partners and stakeholders in developing a common structure, methods and tools.

4. Develop an interactive digital platform

→ Create an online hub to support learning, collaboration and resource sharing.

5. Engage stakeholders and build a community of practice

→ Set up an Advisory Board and organise events to involve policy makers, companies and training providers.

6. Ensure dissemination, sustainability and transferability

→ Promote results through communication channels and build long-term strategies for impact beyond the project.

Partnership

TECH-BRIDGE VET brings together six partners from five European countries, combining expertise in vocational training, innovation, European cooperation and industry engagement. Together, they co-develop the TECH-BRIDGE Academy model to better connect training and labour market needs in the mechanical sector.
